Apple is rumored to be working on a new 16-inch MacBook Pro. Previous reports have indicated that the Cupertino-based company may release the new MacBook in October this year. Apple can also update the current lineup of the 13-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models at about the same time. However, Apple will not replace the controversial keyboard design at any time this year, according to several reports. More details also appeared on the 16-inch MacBook Pro form factor and processors.

After finishing the 12-inch MacBook Pro earlier this year, it looks like the 16-inch Apple MacBook Pro may replace the current 15-inch MacBook Pro. Apple may press a 16-inch display into the current form factor of the 15-inch model, according to the Digitimes report.

A new Forbes report cites an investor note from the IHS Market this week, suggesting that the production of the 16-inch MacBook Pro will begin in September this year. This also confirms the October launch cycle. The note also sheds some light on the upcoming MacBook Pro screen resolution.

According to the note, Apple's 16-inch MacBook Pro will use Intel Coffee Lake-H processors, similar to the current 15-inch MacBook Pro models. The company is expected to offer up to 8 basic configurations with the 16-inch MacBook Pro at launch.

The report claims that Apple will end production of the 15-inch MacBook Pro in November this year, citing sources within the supply chain. Your 16-inch MacBook Pro may have a 227-pixel-per-inch (PPI) screen similar to the current 13-inch MacBook Pro.

If this is true, the next MacBook Pro can be just a 16-inch MacBook Pro with little or no edges, sitting inside the 15-inch MacBook Pro chassis. This makes sense given that Apple may end up confusing many customers with 15-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro configurations. Earlier reports indicated that Apple may launch a 16-inch MacBook Pro in October this year at a price of $ 3,000.
