Airtel users now get EXTRA 500MB of data per day

Telecom giant Airtel has kick-started 2018 by revising its Rs 799 plan. The plan, which earlier offered 3GB 4G/3G data per day, now offers 3.5GB data per day. The validity for the plan remains at 28 days. This means that the Airtel users will now get 14GB additional data at the same price.

The benefits of unlimited local and national calling along with 100 SMSes per day too remain as earlier. Airtel is also offering a cashback of Rs 75 if the customers do this recharge using the Airtel Payments Bank.

Major rival Reliance Jio also has a plan for Rs 799. As per that plan, users get 3GB data per day with unlimited calling benefits.

Recently, Airtel also revamped its Rs 349 and Rs 549 plan. Under the Rs 349 plan, the telco was earlier offering 1.5GB data per day with unlimited local and STD calls and SMS. This has been revised to 2GB data per day. As for the Rs 549 plan, the company used to give 3GB data and is now offering 3.5GB data per day with unlimited calling and SMS benefits. Both the plans come with a validity of 28 days.

Both the plans are better than Reliance Jio's plan that offer only 1GB data per day in both the Rs 399 plan and Rs 499 plan. However, the plans are valid for a longer period but the data offered is less when compared to the plan rolled out by Airtel.
