Micromax Bharat 5 smartphone to launch in India on December 1

NEW DELHI: It appears that domestic smartphone maker Micromax is all set to expand its Bharat series devices. The company is reportedly likely to announce Bharat 5 smartpho ne soon. The company has started sending out invites for an event scheduled for December 1, where it is expected to Bharat 5 smartphone.

The smartphone is said to sport a dual-rear camera setup which will be USP of the smartphone. The invite shared by the company consists of the image of the smartphone. The image shows dual-rear camera setup along with Micromax branding. The front houses a selfie camera along with three capacitive keys.

The company has also shared a new teaser about the smartphone, which hints of a huge battery capacity. It is expected that the Micromax Bharat 5 will pack a 5,000 mAh battery.

Apart from this, no other information about the smartphone is available right now.

Last month, Micromax partnered with Vodafone and launched its Bharat 2 Ultra 4G phone in the country. Priced at Rs 999 effectively, the company claims that it is the cheapest 4G smartphone in India.

The customers who wish to purchase the device will have to pay Rs 2,899 as the down payment. Then they will have to recharge the device for Rs 150 for the period of 36 months, which comes down to Rs 5,400 over and above the Rs 2,899.

After the completion of 18 months, which is 1.5 years, the customers will get a cashback of Rs 900 and the after another 1.5 year they will get cashback of Rs 1,000. This means that they will get Rs 1,900 back which will be deducted from the price tag of Rs 2,899 and brings the original cost to Rs 999. The users will receive the cashback in Vodafone M-Pesa wallets.
