BlackBerry Motion smartphone with full touch screen launched

Blackberry , a leading Smart phone making company last year launched its full touch screen smartphones , DTEK 50 and DTEK 60 in the market. Once again BlackBerry launched its full-screen handset Motion

The smartphone however, has been launched in the Middle East at a price equivalent to Rs 30,000. The Canadian smartphone brand has not yet revealed when it will bring the device to other markets.

Made by TCL , the Chinese tech firm that received the rights to manufacture BlackBerry smartphones last year, the Motion run Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box has unlike most of its siblings, comes with a full touch screen. It has a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) LCD display with 16:9 aspect ratio.

Under-the-hood, the smartphone is powered by the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, clubbed with 4GB RAM. The smartphone is said to sport 32GB inbuilt storage and a 4000 mAh powerful battery. There is a 12MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP front-facing camera on board.

The metal clad BlackBerry Motion is IP67 rated, which makes it dust and water resistant. It comes with familiar BlackBerry supplications such as BlackBerry Calendar, BlackBerry Boost Charging, and the BlackBerry Hub.

"The launch of BlackBerry Motion allows us to further diversify our product offering, delivering new experiences while remaining steadfast with the privacy, reliability and productivity that have made BlackBerry so iconic over the years," said Alain Lejeune, global general manager for Blackberry mobile. "While the initial launch of our newest BlackBerry smartphone will be Limited , this is an exciting addition to our growing BlackBerry smartphone portfolio, setting a strong foundation for further portfolio and market growth in the years to come."

BlackBerry has already confirmed that it won't be bringing Android Nougat OS to its BlackBerry Priv . "We do not have any plans today to bring [the BlackBerry Priv] to Nougat," said Alex Thurber, general manager of BlackBerry Mobility Solutions in a podcast conversation with UTB Blogs website last month. Motion may get Android 8.0 Oreo. There is no confirmation for now.
